The Golden Dragon Great Wall is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Golden Dragon Great Wall, also known as the Luodai Great Wall, gets its name from its location in Jinlong Town, Longquanyi District, Chengdu. Situated within the Jinlong Lake Scenic Area, it is a newly built replica of the Great Wall, stretching 1,680 meters in length with five watchtowers, and cost around 2 million yuan to construct.

At a glance, you’ll see grey bricks, strip stones, watchtowers; battlements, arrow slits, observation holes... This “Great Wall” may differ from the real one in terms of “height, width, and build” (the real Great Wall is much wider than this one), but visually, there’s not much difference. As you walk along, the scenery on both sides of the Golden Dragon Great Wall is pleasant. Especially when you climb up along the mountain ridge to the mountaintop, the sides are covered with lush trees, and some wild plants even bear bright red, tempting fruits.

At the top of the Golden Dragon Great Wall stands the famous Golden Dragon Temple, which is why the Luodai Great Wall is also called the Golden Dragon Great Wall. The temple is bustling with incense year-round and is a popular spot for people to pray for blessings and peace. As such, there is a road that leads directly to the end of the Great Wall, but many visitors choose to climb up the Great Wall as a show of devotion.
