Hakka Culture Museum in Luodai Ancient Town

In October 2012, the Western Hakka Museum officially opened in Luodai Ancient Town, Longquanyi District, Chengdu. Covering an area of 1,200 square meters, the museum is located on the second floor of the Blog Building in the Blog Town section of Luodai Ancient Town. It is the largest Hakka museum in western China and the only scenario-based Hakka-themed museum in the country. The completion and opening of the Western Hakka Museum marks a major shift in the display of Hakka culture—from “folk exhibition” to “scenario interaction.”

The Western Hakka Museum is divided into five exhibition halls: “Origin,” “Migration,” “Pioneering,” “Folkways,” and “Achievements.” With the curatorial theme of “Pioneering, Leaving Hakka Memories in Bashu,” it uses a large number of cultural relics to comprehensively showcase the history, culture, customs, and way of life of the Hakka people.
