Main Hall of Taohua Temple

The Main Hall of Taohua Temple is a protected cultural relic site under Chengdu City.

Location: Group 3, Baosheng Village, Luodai Town, Longquanyi District

Era: Ming Dynasty

Core Value: This structure is the only well-preserved wooden building from the Ming Dynasty in the Longquanyi area. Its single-eave hip-and-gable roof and post-and-lintel framework offer tangible insight into Ming architectural style. The main beam bears clear inscriptions including “In the 14th year of the Hongzhi reign of the Great Ming” and “In the 8th year of the Chongzhen reign of the Great Ming,” providing important material for understanding the history of the Longquanyi area during and after the Ming Dynasty. It holds high historical value.

On May 2, 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level protected cultural relics by the People’s Government of Chengdu.
