Shu Commandery King's Tomb in Shufang Village

The Shu Commandery King's Tomb in Shufang Village is located on a slope in Group 20 of Shufang Village, Longquan Subdistrict, which is higher in the west and lower on the east, south, and north sides. The age of the tomb and the identity of the tomb occupant are based on data from the Second National Cultural Relics Census. It is part of the Ming Dynasty Shu Kings' Tomb cluster, though the specific identity of the tomb owner remains unclear. The site consists of a slightly raised earthen mound surrounded by flatter land, with no visible remnants of tomb walls, broken bricks, or artifact fragments related to the tomb. According to investigations, the mound was once a circular earthen hill approximately 5 meters high and 15 meters in diameter. Later, due to land contracting, the mound was gradually leveled. It is believed that this mound was originally the tomb’s burial mound. About 200 meters southwest of the Ming tomb, there used to be a temple that fell into disrepair after the liberation period and was eventually demolished. This temple may have had a direct connection to the tomb — if it was part of the tomb’s memorial tower or cemetery architecture, then the total area of the Ming tomb complex would have been at least 20 acres.

Shufang Village: Shufang Village is located 2.5 kilometers northwest of Longquan Subdistrict. In 2005, it was formed through the integration of the former Zhuanslong Village and Shufang Village. It borders Baoping Community to the east, Yidu Road Community and Jiepai Village to the south, Dayan Subdistrict to the west, and Ping’an Village to the north. Covering a total area of 7.64 square kilometers, it has over 7,100 mu of arable land, 22 villager groups, a total of 2,323 households, and a population of 6,895, including 5,780 agricultural residents. The village has 123 Party members and 7 Party subgroups. The main economic activities are grape and peach cultivation, as well as agritainment tourism.
