The “Pingsha Luoyan” cultural and commercial district is located east of the core area of Pingle Ancient Town, covering an area of 30 acres with a built-up area of 11,000 square meters. Adjacent to the Leshan Ancient Bridge, which was built in the first year of the Tongzhi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1862), it embodies “classic charm, traditional style, and vintage ambiance.” Using the ancient town as its base, Pingsha Luoyan blends modern leisure elements with tradition: themed bars, boutique inns, specialty tea houses, coffee and Western restaurants, Chinese dining establishments, handicrafts, traditional snacks… The Pingsha Luoyan Cultural District not only fully revives the prosperity of what was once the foremost town along the Southern Silk Road, but also recreates the most iconic Chinese motifs from classical music, adding a rich layer of traditional cultural color to this renowned ancient town and elevating its tourism to a new level. Here, all architecture showcases the authentic charm of classic western Sichuan towns, while the Music Square near Leshan Bridge presents modern and trendy elements. With music as the backdrop, and accentuated by ancient banyan trees, stone steps, plants, and water features, the square integrates music with nature, enhancing the appeal of the ancient town’s tourism and creating a modern-style district that transcends indoor entertainment and traditional formats.
