Pingle Tourist Area
The Pingle National-level Tourism Resort is located in Pingle Ancient Town, Chengdu. Positioned as a national-level mountain-water countryside resort in Pingle, it consists of five major zones and will be developed over five years with a total investment exceeding 5 billion yuan. The Pingle National-level Tourism Resort is also the largest project to commence construction within the Longmen Mountain 100-billion-yuan tourism industry belt in 2011. The resort is divided into five key zones. Among them, the Daping Shaluoyan Ancient Town Cultural Heritage Zone includes four phases such as the “Number One Tower of Tianfu” and the Southern Silk Road Prayer Park; the Ancient Town Core Area preserves the existing streets and water bodies of the old town, with planned protection and renovation of the Anle Weir and Huangjin Weir to restore the essence of a traditional Western Sichuan water town; the Golden Rooster Valley · Swan Lake Eco-Tourism Resort features leisure areas such as a lavender experience garden and a farming-book academy; the Shuwang Longshan Business Resort plans to introduce high-end business facilities, focusing on serving premium conferences and business events; the Lugou · Huqiu Mountain Sports Experience Zone will introduce advanced domestic and international mountain tourism models, developing activities such as mountain biking, orienteering, stream tracing, and rock climbing.
