Xingle Bridge in Pingle Ancient Town

Xingle Bridge is located in the core area of Pingle Ancient Town in Qionglai City, southwest of Chengdu. It is a must-visit spot when exploring the ancient town. The five-arch bridge spans over a hundred meters across the Baimo River, connecting the north and south of the town.

Xingle Bridge connects both sides of the river in Qionglai and is an important passageway through the ancient town. The bridge deck seems to have been newly repaired, but the railings and piers appear quite old, with some sections even showing signs of wear and decay. These days, this type of old-fashioned multi-arch bridge is not often seen.

Beneath the bridge lies a river beach where sand and pebbles have accumulated. The water is shallow and flows relatively gently, so many people bring their children here to play in the water and engage in water fights. Of course, there are also vendors who specifically sell toys such as water guns, which adds quite a bit of liveliness and fun to the area.
