Deluo'an
The distinctive features of Mount Tiantai, renowned both in China and abroad, are “extraordinary mountains, peculiar rocks, beautiful waters, and serene forests.” “Where the mountain reaches high, so does the water.” Water is the soul of Mount Tiantai. The Golden Dragon River meanders down from the summit of the mountain, forming long beaches, cascading streams, waterfalls, and lakes... Numerous landscapes are transformed by the water, presenting to the world a long scroll of traditional Chinese landscape painting depicting “a ninety-li-long river with eight hundred streams, nine thousand peculiar rocks and two thousand peaks.”
