The Songrong Cultural Tourism Industry Park in Yajiang County is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Nestled within the magnificent Garzê region, Yajiang County lies in the southern part of the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, along the middle reaches of the Yalong River and the central section of the Hengduan Mountains on the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. It enjoys a continental monsoon plateau climate, which offers ideal natural, climatic, and geographical conditions for the cultivation of edible fungi such as matsutake. The county yields more than 6,000 tons of wild fungi every year, including over 1,000 tons of high-quality matsutake.

On August 3, 2013, the China Edible Fungi Association awarded Yajiang County in the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, the title of "Hometown of Chinese Matsutake." Yajiang matsutake is highly favored both domestically and internationally for its abundant yield, large size, delicate flesh, attractive color, and delicious aroma. Every year, merchants from countries such as Japan and South Korea travel great distances to Yajiang to purchase the mushrooms.

To further enhance the brand recognition of "Yajiang Matsutake" and optimize the product supply chain, we have initially developed — based on the Garzê Prefecture Riji Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. — and after extensive research, planning, and evaluation, proudly launched the China Yajiang Matsutake Industrial Park project.

The project primarily leverages the development opportunities presented by Yajiang County, known as the "Hometown of Chinese Matsutake," within the Riji Integrated Tourism Complex Plan. The development of the China Yajiang Matsutake Industrial Park serves as a key breakthrough. The project covers an area of approximately 840 acres (the Matsutake Culture Town spans about 420 acres, the Matsutake Industry Core Area covers around 240 acres, and the Matsutake Sightseeing Demonstration & Training Garden covers about 180 acres), including 352 acres of construction land, with a total estimated investment of 300 million yuan. The park mainly functions through “one factory, one square, one museum, one hotel, two gardens, and four centers.” Additionally, in the northern part of the core zone of the industrial park, other cooperative enterprises will be introduced to establish bases for matsutake processing and other activities, forming a concentrated processing enterprise zone.

The “one factory” refers to: the Edible Fungi Spawn Factory; the “one square” is: the Matsutake Culture Square; the “one museum” is: the Matsutake Museum; the “one hotel” is: the Matsutake-themed Hotel; the “two gardens” are: the Comprehensive Edible Fungi Processing Garden and the Matsutake Eco-Sightseeing Demonstration & Training Garden; the “four centers” are: the Edible Fungi Research Center, the Edible Fungi Trading Center, the Edible Fungi Training Center, and the Tourist Service Center.
