Located 21 kilometers southwest of Danba County in Donggu Township. The clear waters of the Yaks River flow joyfully here, and the valley boasts abundant plant resources, with primeval forests stretching as far as the eye can see. The area is dotted with peculiar peaks and rocks, while steep cliffs produce thundering waterfalls. Scattered across the landscape are numerous lakes and hot springs—jewels nestled in the mountains. People marvel that this place is a "natural bonsai."

Danba Tibetan Villages

The Tibetan villages and watchtowers in Danba share a consistent architectural style and are among the most distinctive features of the Jiarong mountain settlements. The locals have organically combined two very different types of structures—the watchtowers and the village houses—resulting in buildings that bear characteristics of both. The walls of Danba Tibetan villages are built from stone, typically three to four stories high. The ground floor serves as storage and livestock pens, the second floor as guest rooms and kitchens, the third as living quarters, and the top floor is often used as a prayer hall. All the outer edges of the top floor are painted with yellow, black, and white colors, which is also a hallmark of Jiarong villages.

Among the Tibetan villages in Danba, those in Jiaju, Niega, Suopo, and Gehuizha Township are the most famous. From a distance, hundreds of dwellings are scattered harmoniously along the river valley and on the mountainsides, interspersed with clusters of green trees, blending the villages seamlessly into the natural landscape.

Danba Beauty Valley

Danba is known for producing beautiful women. Most girls here wear little to no makeup, blessed with naturally radiant beauty. Their fair, smooth skin and tall, fit figures all reflect the innate elegance of Danba beauties. The most renowned beauties come from Qiongshan Village in Badixiang. Known as the "Beauty Valley," Qiongshan Village consists of First, Second, and Third Villages, connected by countless neat and beautiful Tibetan homes. The entire valley is not only home to stunning beauties but also boasts breathtaking scenery. Badixiang is about 26 kilometers from the county seat, and Qiongshan Village can be reached by a 10-kilometer walk into a valley from the township government.

Donggu Township: Donggu Township is an administrative township under Danba County in the Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In ancient times, it was part of the territory governed by the Mingzheng Tusi of Dajianlu. It was established as Donggu Township in 1941, reorganized as a commune in 1966, and reinstated as a township in 1984.

Donggu Township is located in the southern part of the county, 18 kilometers from the county seat. It covers an area of 1,253.6 square kilometers and has a population of 3,000. The township administers 11 village committees: Donggu, Yingshan, Guoru, Erkazi, Sankazi, Jingbei, Dongma, Yongxi, Dengba, Yaks, and Bochong.
