Mount Yala

Mount Yala is located at the junction of Kangding, Fudao, and Danba counties in Garzê Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an elevation of 5,884 meters. It stands in distant opposition to the Mount Murdo deity mountain to its northwest. The summit is covered with snow year-round and is a famous sacred mountain in the Kham region. The Yala River originates here. At over 4,000 meters up the mountainside of Mount Yala, there are two alpine lakes less than 300 meters apart. Their outflow directions flow north and south respectively into the two sides of the mountain ridge, forming a stunning natural landscape.
