In 2012, the Rock Carvings on Mount Moerduo were designated as part of the Eighth Batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Sichuan Province.

Protected area: The distribution area of the carvings extends 50 meters eastward, 30 meters southward, 5 meters westward, and 10 meters northward.

Construction control zone: Extends 20 meters beyond the protected area.
