Luming Wang Family Courtyard

Luming Wang Family Courtyard is a cultural heritage site protected by Jiang'an County.

Luming Wang Family Courtyard, located in the Luming Group of Luming Village, Renhe Township. The courtyard was built during the Qing Dynasty. It faces east with a westward orientation, flanked by wing rooms on both sides, and features a stone foundation with a plain stone platform. The eaves' stone slabs are carved with water-pattern designs. The wooden structure follows the post-and-lintel style, topped with a single-eave suspended gable roof covered in small blue tiles. The courtyard is paved with bluestone slabs, with farmland situated in front of it. The total area covers 811 square meters.

This courtyard was built by Wang Fuchen, who held the Qing Dynasty title of “Imperial Fourth-Rank Official with Peacock Feather Decoration,” during the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty. Its most distinctive feature is the decorative base tiles placed beneath the roof’s water-diverting tiles. The backs of these base tiles are coated with white primer, then painted with colorful ink designs depicting flowers, birds, fish, insects, seasonal fruits and vegetables, auspicious blossoms and plants, and aquatic creatures—showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and leaving viewers in awe. In 2010, the courtyard was designated as a cultural heritage site by the People's Government of Jiang'an County.
