Daqian Food Street

To enhance the city’s image and showcase the Daqian culinary culture, the newly built Daqian Food Street is located on Xingsheng Road and the southern section of Panlong Road. The street spans a total length of 850 meters, with over 300 business storefronts operated by 127 vendors. The total investment exceeds 7 million yuan. The main construction includes setting up food street signs at three main entrances, renovating the pedestrian walkways, enhancing and beautifying the lighting, replacing the facade tiles of shops along the street, adding a cultural wall for the food street, as well as constructing archways, decorative features, sculptures, and leisure facilities. Shop signs are preferably handwritten by renowned calligraphers from Neijiang. Once completed, the Daqian Food Street will greatly improve the dining environment. Its landscape lights, light poles, advertising light boxes, and neon signs will form a nightscape illumination display. The pedestrian walkways are paved with colored or bluestone bricks, making them spacious, flat, and attractive. The landscaping combines potted flowers with planted trees, and various decorative features and leisure benches are strategically placed to enhance the street's visual appeal and recreational value. The Daqian Food Street officially opened on September 18, 2009.
