Potala Cliff Cliffside Carvings

The Potala Cliff Cliffside Carvings are a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

On Group 1 of Qingxi Village, Gaoliang Town, Dongxing District, on Potala Cliff, there is a rock face approximately 15 meters long and 5 meters high. The surface features nearly 300 exquisitely carved and well-arranged cliffside carvings that remain majestic and spectacular despite years of wind and sun exposure.

Potala Cliff is referred to as "Lion Mountain" by local villagers, and the two closely adjacent peaks are known locally as "Big Pot Lid Mountain" and "Small Pot Lid Mountain." Scattered cliff inscriptions and carvings can also be found on the cliffs of these two peaks, together constituting the cliff carving complex in Qingxi Village.

As a shining jewel among cliff carvings, the Potala Cliff Cliffside Carvings have been listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province due to their unique artistic charm and historical value.

Protected area: East to the firewood mountain land of villager Wen Xuecai, south to the firewood mountain land of Zeng Fancheng of Group 1, Qingxi Village, west to the private plot of Lei Shidong, a resident of Group 8, Qingxi Village, and north to the outer side of the road of Group 8, Qingxi Village.

Construction control zone: 50 meters beyond the protected area.
