A gentle breeze brushes your face, while a rich poetic ambiance fills your heart. The renowned poet Shu Ting once said, “Even the wind here carries the essence of poetry.” Poetry Square features a central lake named “Jade Maiden Lake.” On March 18, 2008, the 2nd China Luojiang Poetry Festival was grandly held here. During the large-scale musical and dance poetry performance at the opening ceremony, acclaimed artists such as Bao Guoan, Liu Jin, and Huang Wei delivered heartfelt renditions to an enthusiastic audience, bringing the charm of poetry to life. The town’s annual Pear Blossom Festival is also held here, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to enjoy the spring scenery.
