The Luojiang Museum was established in October 2007 with an approved staffing of two people. After the “5.12” earthquake, the Culture, Sports, News and Publishing Bureau of Luojiang County began planning the construction of the museum. To save funds, the bureau made full use of Jing Le Palace, a cultural relics protection unit in Deyang City, as the museum building. Overcoming various challenges, they developed a scientifically sound exhibition plan that suited the actual conditions of Luojiang. The Luojiang Museum was successfully completed on June 21, 2012, and opened to the public free of charge. It shares office space with the Luojiang Cultural Relics Protection Management Office.
