Introduction: The Chapel is situated within the Notre Dame Church in Heping East Road Community, Yucai Road Subdistrict Office. It was first constructed in the 8th year of the Republic of China (1919). The structure is made of brick and wood, with one floor above ground and one below, oriented west to east. It measures 17.3 meters in width, 11 meters in depth, and 13 meters in height, covering a floor area of 190.3 square meters. The stone base is 0.35 meters high. The roof is gabled and tiled with small blue tiles, featuring three small dormers on each side and two brick chimneys. There are wide corridors in front of and on both sides of the building. The front facade has six rectangular brick pillars, three semi-circular arches, and a pair of long rectangular wooden louvered windows on either side of the central entrance. A wooden turning staircase is located on the left corridor. Both the interior and the second-floor corridor are floored with wood. The outer side of the second-floor corridor is fully enclosed, with a wooden railing at the bottom and long rectangular wooden louvers above. The eaves protrude significantly, supported by bracket arms beneath the overhanging beams, which in turn rest directly on partition walls. Inscribed on the main beam in ink is “ANNO DOMINI 1919”. This building is well-preserved, combining both Chinese and Western architectural features, and holds considerable cultural heritage value. It is of great significance for the study of urban development and religious history.
