Introduction: The Gospel Church is located at No. 68 Beichen Street, Baifu Community, Zhenjiang Temple Subdistrict Office, Chuanshan District. In the second year of the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1876), American missionary Rev. Gu Liangzhen came to Suining to preach and built a chapel on Beichen Street. It was gradually expanded until it reached its current size in 1924. The church faces west and has a traditional Chinese courtyard layout consisting of the main chapel, side rooms on both sides, and a bell tower. It covers a land area of 1,000 square meters with a built-up area of 680 square meters. The main chapel is a brick-and-wood structure with a stone foundation platform about 0.15 meters high. It features a flush gable roof covered with small grey tiles. The central entrance is an arched doorway, flanked by arched windows. There are square brick pillars, and the overall dimensions are 24.2 meters in width, 10.35 meters in depth, and 8 meters in height. The right-side room is a single-eave hip-roof wooden structure with a post-and-lintel frame, measuring 18.8 meters in width, 7.5 meters in depth, and 5.8 meters in height. The left-side room is a brick-and-wood structure with a double-slope flush gable roof and small grey tiles. It measures 20.2 meters in width, 12.3 meters in depth, and 7.6 meters in height. The bell tower is largely damaged but the remaining part is square-shaped, with sides measuring 3.3 meters and a height of 6 meters. It is a brick-and-wood structure with a sloped roof. The entire complex features a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles with distinct period characteristics, serving as a historical witness to religious activities in modern Suining.
