Xiwu Erzhou Ecological Wetland Park

Xiwu Erzhou Ecological Wetland Park is located on Xijiazhou and Wujiazhou in Jiefu Road Subdistrict, Chuanshan District, covering an area of 883 mu, with a total project investment of 300 million RMB. It was planned and designed by the UK-based Oppenheim Architecture + Design. The development aims to transform Xijiazhou and Wujiazhou into open natural spaces and a wetland park, organically combining ecological conservation, Xiwu Erzhou Ecological Wetland Park’s eco-agriculture, and eco-village functions. It highlights the characteristics of naturality, ecology, and thematic appeal, focusing on premium ecological tourism projects to create a cultural corridor for ecological sightseeing that offers a sound environment for ecology, living, and investment. The park reflects the biological evolution chain from lake to wetland, to farmland, to city—embodying the harmonious coexistence between people and nature, as well as urban culture and the natural environment. The project facilitates the rational development of natural resources and the improvement of the ecological environment, uplifting the living conditions of local residents within the park, and supports sustainable social and environmental development. Upon completion, the park will become a naturally rich, culturally vibrant wetland park; a model site for a modern ecological pastoral city; and a new exemplar of coordinated urban-rural development driven by “dual modernization.” The ultimate goal is to foster mutually beneficial growth between urban scenic spot construction and cultural industry development.
