Jiulianzhou Ecological Wetland Park

Jiulianzhou Ecological Wetland Park, located at the northern end of Binjiang Road in the main urban area, covers an area of 1.08 square kilometers. With a dense network of waterways and numerous islands, it is a riverside wetland that has been transformed from farmland back to wetland. Drawing on successful experiences from Xichang Qionghai Wetland and Hangzhou Xixi Wetland, the park incorporates the concept of sponge city construction. Guided by the principle of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, it introduces water from the Fujiang River to expand the water surface area, establishes a well-developed wetland purification system, and thus both fulfills the ecological functions of wetlands and highlights landscape artistry. The park connects and integrates green corridors, establishing six themed scenic spots: Willow Beach, Water Garden, Xijia Islet, Floating Tea House, Fairy Trail Forest, and Wu’s Islet. It also introduces commercial formats such as painter-themed village homestays and Cha Tian Xia tea experience venues, adding amenities including a children’s playground, inner-lake boat rides, waterfront boardwalks, and a slow cycling system. Since its opening in January this year, it has hosted over 10 major events such as the Suili Family Unity Festival and a mass walking event with ten thousand participants. It now receives over 3,000 visitors daily, having become the premier destination for locals to relax, exercise, and connect with nature.
