Hongyanzi Scenic Area

Built upon urban development and the Hongyanzi Hydroelectric Project, and making use of the vast lake created after the project was completed, the Hongyanzi Scenic Area forms a scenic silhouette of “three mountains, two parks, and one water” in combination with three principal urban parks—Lingyun Mountain, Huofeng Mountain, and Wumian Mountain—as well as the Manfuba Agricultural Sightseeing Park and Shiziling Ecological Botanical Sightseeing Park. The area features an urban square covering over 300 acres, the largest of its kind in northern Sichuan, which stands out for its distinctive design and combines commemorative and leisure functions. It serves as a striking urban tourism highlight along the Langzhong Ancient City travel route.
