The Red Army Battlefield Site and Stone Slogans Group at Changping Mountain is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

The Red Army Battlefield Site and Stone Slogans Group at Changping Mountain is located at Changping Mountain Fort in Houping Village, Changping Town. The fort runs generally from north to south and forms a narrow rocky ridge about 800 meters long and 150 meters wide. The terrain is rugged, with originally nine fortified gates, making it easy to defend but hard to attack. In August 1933, in order to solve the salt supply problem in the Sichuan-Shaanxi Base Area, the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army launched the Yilong–Nanbu Campaign. After entering Nanbu, the Red Army first swiftly captured Changping Mountain, then marched westward, quickly occupying a large area east of the Jialing River in southern Nanbu. From then until April 1935, due to strategic needs, the Red Army entered the salt-producing region of southern Nanbu three times. They successively established the Langnan County Soviet Government at Shuiguanchang on the border of Nanbu and Langzhong, and the Defeng County Soviet Government at Jinzhuwang in Zaojiao Township, Nanbu. During this period, the Political Department of the 25th Red Army Division, the 74th Red Army Regiment, the 81st Red Army Regiment, the Headquarters of the Langnan Military District, the Headquarters of the Langnan Guerrilla Army, and the Headquarters of the Langnan Independent Regiment were all stationed at Changping Mountain Fort at the top of Changping Mountain.

Protective boundary: East to Longzhai Long of Changping Mountain, West to the fortified gate at Linjia Ya, South to the fortified gate at Loumi Yan, North to the cliff edge at the northern end of Changping Mountain Fort.
