Introduction to Nanchong Baiyun Mountain The provincial-level Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area is located in the southeast of Peng’an County, covering an area of 51.13 square kilometers. National Highway 318 runs through the area, and it is 28 kilometers from Peng’an Railway Station, less than 50 kilometers from Nanchong and the former residence in Guang’an, and only 90 kilometers from the former residence of —. The main scenic area, Baiyun Mountain, has a forest area of over 10,000 mu, combining seclusion, beauty, and wonder. Formed by two mountains, seven stockades, and thirty-three peaks, there are twenty-six bends across two valleys, with layer upon layer of mountains and rocks. The forest mainly consists of tall trees such as pine, cypress, fir, and camphor, along with over 400 species of plants, including shrubs, vines, flowers, and grasses. The woods are home to more than 30 species of wild animals, such as egrets, rock eagles, owls, pheasants, and foxes. The Yangliugou Nature Reserve resembles a primeval forest, with dense undergrowth, bizarre rocks, winding streams, and a rich sense of primal wilderness.
