Lower River Street on Zhouzi Ancient Town in Peng’an is an ancient sloped street. As the name suggests, heading "down to the river" leads you directly to the banks of the Jialing River. Historically, Zhouzi Wharf thrived with bustling water transport, and Zhouzi Ancient Town was very prosperous. Many shops have retained their classic traditional charm to this day, and people had to pass through Lower River Street in their comings and goings—testament to the deep historical legacy carried by this ancient street.
