Hezu Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Peng’An County.

Originally named Heshu Buddhist Temple, it is located in Heshu Town, about 5 kilometers south of the county seat. According to the Republican-era *Peng County Annals*, the Heshu market was originally situated about one li north here at Longfeng Dam, known as Longfeng Market. Heshu used to be a pig market. In the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty, Heshu Buddhist Temple was built here, and in the 42nd year of the Qianlong era, the market was relocated from Longfeng Dam to its current location. The Heshu Buddhist Temple, originally constructed in the mid-Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, was later damaged. According to an inscription in the main hall, the existing structure was rebuilt in the 20th year of the Qianlong era. It features a single-courtyard quadrangle layout, with the main hall spanning five bays (16 meters) in width and 7 meters in depth, topped with a single-eave gable-and-hip roof and constructed with a post-and-lintel wooden structure. The total floor area of the temple complex is 680 square meters.
