The “Su Shi’s Calligraphy Style” stele is a cultural relic protection unit of Peng’an County.

“Su Shi’s Calligraphy Style” Stele (County-level)

The “Su Shi’s Calligraphy Style” stele is located on Laisu Village, 65 kilometers south of Yinhan in Peng’an County. The stele is rectangular, with an overall height of 1.15 meters, width of 0.6 meters, and thickness of 0.2 meters. The top of the stele is inscribed horizontally with four 10-centimeter regular script characters reading “Su Shi’s Calligraphy Style.” The center of the stele face is engraved with “Ink-Washing Pool,” the left side with “Wan Chong Zhou Si De Bei,” and the right side with seventeen large regular script characters reading “Yi Yuan Miao He Ba Yin Chun.” According to the *Peng’an County Annals*, the “Su Shi’s Calligraphy Style” stele was erected after the Northern Song scholar Su Shi spent half a year visiting Zhufeng Mountain and then stayed at the mountain temple in Penglai Prefecture.
