The Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Pingchang County Revolutionary Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall is located within the Pingchang County Martyrs Memorial Park (Sihua Village, Desheng Town)—the renowned "Shuisigeng Battlefield Site" from the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base period. Established in the 1980s with its name inscribed by Marshal Xu Xiangqian, the original site was situated behind the Liu Bojian Martyrs Memorial Park in downtown Pingchang as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. Due to the exhibition hall's age, outdated structure, and aging facilities, to better protect revolutionary relics, enrich historical content, and promote red culture, our county relocated it to the Pingchang County Martyrs Memorial Park and redesigned its displays in accordance with the planning concept of creating a "grand cultural park and major tourist attraction." It was completed in December 2015 and opened to the public free of charge. The exhibition hall covers an area of 400 square meters and is divided into a "Prelude Hall" and five themed exhibition areas: "The Flames of Revolution," "Defending the Revolutionary Base," "Heroic Ballads," "Deep Bonds Between Soldiers and Civilians," and "The Everlasting Spirit." It showcases the revolutionary struggle experiences of martyrs, historical photos, and over 130 precious cultural relics, comprehensively presenting the historical facts of the Red Army’s campaign in Jiangkou (Pingchang).
