The 2018 Winter Olympics were held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province, South Korea. 1. Gangwon Province – Yongpyong Resort Ski Area
Yongpyong Resort is known as the “Alps of Korea.” Its accommodation buildings are located very close to the ski slopes, which makes it a favorite among many visitors. It has also served as a filming location for Korean dramas such as "Goblin" and "Winter Sonata." The resort features South Korea’s longest ski slope along with a variety of ski facilities, and boasts a 7.4-kilometer gondola. The alpine skiing events of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics were also held here.

It includes slopes of varying difficulty levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—and is also equipped with a variety of snowboarding facilities, earning it the nickname “Snowboard Paradise.” Some of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics competitions were held here, and it also served as a filming location for the Korean drama “Winter Sonata.”
