The popular cake shop “Yaniq” has officially entered Taipei’s Minsheng Community. Recognizing the area’s mix of residential and commercial spaces along with its abundant parks and greenery—and driven by founder Wu Tsung-en’s personal “connection” to the neighborhood while dropping his kids off at school—Yaniq has decided to open its 14th branch here. The new store is set to launch on January 22.
To celebrate the opening of the new branch, all Yaniq branches across Taiwan are simultaneously launching the new “Japanese Milk Foam Latte” (priced at NT$155) and “Japanese Milk Foam Caramel Sea Salt Latte” (NT$165), combining Hokkaido-style milk foam with rich latte for an entirely new flavor. Additionally, inspired by the latest Japanese trend, Yaniq is also introducing the “Raw Pound Cake” (NT$380).
Yaniq’s Taipei Minsheng branch is also rolling out an opening promotion. For the first three days (January 22–24), the first 30 customers each day can purchase a “Yaniq Fresh Milk Roll – Original Flavor” for just NT$100. During the first month of opening (before February 22), customers who sign up for the Yaniq Enjoy Card at the Minsheng branch and recharge NT$2,000 with a purchase will receive a complimentary “Yaniq Fresh Milk Roll – Original Flavor” (original price NT$380).
Yaniq started as a cake contract manufacturer, later rose to prominence through online e-commerce, but in the past two years has initiated a plan to establish a presence in the six major cities, using large flagship stores to occupy prime urban locations and capture brand mindshare. Starting this year, Yaniq will launch the second phase of its expansion plan, adopting a lean strategy to penetrate consumers’ daily lives. Instead of opening large flagship stores as before, it will now offer more compact, boutique street-side shops to provide Yaniq fans with more convenient purchasing experiences.
Yaniq Chairman Wu Tsung-en stated that following the opening in Taipei’s Minsheng Community, the company expects to open approximately 6–8 new outlets this year, focusing on deep cultivation and serving local consumers.
The Taipei Minsheng branch of Yaniq covers nearly 40 ping, featuring a cake display window, a gift selection area, and a small yet exquisitely cozy interior space that includes seating. This allows customers to enjoy their sweets purchased from Yaniq in a relaxed and pleasant environment.
