The “2018 PyeongChang ! Gangwon Day” took place from September 17 to 19.
The “2018 PyeongChang ! Gangwon Day” event held in Taipei targeted Taiwanese audiences, focusing on promoting tourism in Gangwon Province and the upcoming Winter Olympics just over 140 days away. On September 17, there were performances by K-pop stars, the Seongsan Arirang performance, B-boy shows, K-star talk sessions, and concerts by popular Korean drama “Saimdang, Light’s Diary” OST singers LYN, THE ONE, and MELODY DAY.
To promote the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and various tourism products, Governor Choi Moon-soon of Gangwon Province personally introduced Olympic and Gangwon tourism information. There were also enriching activities such as talk sessions with K-pop stars (LYN, THE ONE) to actively showcase the charm of Gangwon Province and the Winter Olympics to the Taiwanese public.

From September 17 to 19, between 10:00 and 20:00, a Winter Olympics promotion center was set up at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xiangdi Avenue Plaza, offering Taiwanese visitors a wealth of experiences including tourism information, skiing VR experiences, photo zones, and Winter Olympics interactive activities.
Governor Choi Moon-soon of Gangwon Province said: “As the host city of the Winter Olympics just over 140 days away, co-hosting this Taiwan Roadshow with the Korea Tourism Organization and resorts within Gangwon Province is a special opportunity to promote winter tourism in a region with little snow. We aim to use Taiwan as a starting point to showcase the charm of Gangwon Province to the world.”
