It’s once again the season for autumn foliage viewing, and many people are planning their holidays during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day breaks. Those planning to travel to Japan soon might want to take advantage of the recent decline in the yen’s value by timing their currency exchange well and exchanging Japanese yen in advance.

The yen has been on a downward trend since September 8, with a buying rate of 0.2655 and a selling rate of 0.2728 (referencing Yuanta Commercial Bank’s exchange rates), marking a new two-month low. The previous low was on July 11, when it fell below 0.265. The yen has been declining for a week now, so those planning to travel to Japan soon might want to exchange their yen at the right time to make the most of their travel and shopping budget.
