Zhushan Temple Pagoda

Zhushan Temple Pagoda is a cultural heritage site protected by Pingchang County.

Zhushan Temple Pagoda is located in Zhushan Village, Xiangtan Town, Pingchang County, and faces east. It is a seven-story pavilion-style steepled pagoda built with stone in imitation of wooden structure, standing 6.3 meters tall. The base of the pagoda is 0.6 meters high and divided into three levels, each narrowing progressively with a height of 0.2 meters per level. The first level is square, the second is hexagonal, and the third is square. The first story of the pagoda body is square, 0.85 meters high with 0.87-meter sides. Stories two through seven are all octagonal, narrowing inward with each level. The eastern side of the pagoda has windows from the first to the third levels. The fourth level of the pagoda body features six carved human figures on the exterior, and the walls of the second and third levels have inscriptions and dedications. The pagoda is solid throughout. With its elegant form and exquisite craftsmanship, this pagoda is a rare example in Pingchang and holds significant value in religious art and architectural science.
