Fengjiaba Pagoda

Fengjiaba Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Pingchang County.

Fengjiaba Pagoda is located in Minyi Village, Lingshan Township, Pingchang County. The pagoda faces northeast and is built of stone in a wood-like style. It is a seven-story pavilion-style pagoda with a spire roof, standing 10.2 meters tall in total. The base is octagonal, with each side of the foundation measuring 1.4 meters and a height of 1.2 meters. The first, second, fourth, and sixth stories of the pagoda body are quadrilateral, while the third and seventh are drum-shaped, with each story tapering upward. The east side of the pagoda has windows on the first to third stories; the first and second stories are carved with animal and floral designs, while the fourth story’s wall bears inscriptions recording the pagoda’s construction, the names of donors, and the date “the fifth year of the Chongzhen reign of the Ming Dynasty.” The entire structure is solid. The pagoda is elegantly designed and is a rare example in Pingchang.
