The ruins of Liuzhou City in Pingchang are a cultural tourism attraction.

The ruins of Liuzhou City are located at the Baiyi’an Community Committee in Baiyi Town, on the first and second terraces on the north bank of the Ba River. The terrain is slightly higher in the south and slightly lower in the north, generally lying on a level area. The site is gourd-shaped, wider in the north and narrower in the south. The Ba River flows around three sides of the ruins, giving it a peninsula-like shape. It stretches 6,500 meters from east to west and 500 meters from north to south, covering a total area of 3.2 to 3.5 million square meters. To the east, it extends to Yutan Dam on the Ba River, about 10–15 meters above the water surface; to the south, it reaches the New Street Wharf in Baiyi Town along the middle reaches of the Ba River; to the west, it goes to Luojiaba in the middle and upper reaches of the Ba River; and to the north, it borders the Xiaojiao Temple mountain range. Within the site, cultural deposits can be seen up to 0.5 to 2.5 meters thick, extending intermittently over 12 kilometers from Luojiaba to Yutan Dam. There are as many as 16 surface collection points and discovered cultural remains, including Yanzipo and Xue Tangpo at Luojiaba, Guanshan at Zhangjia Dam, Qinggangliang, Zhulin Di, Dingzifengying, Shoudadi, Tongliuxi, Wazi Di, Baiyi Farm, Zhoushijia, Shibao Liang, Hetan Sanjia Ying, Lao Liangzhan, the Blacksmith Shop at Yutan Dam, and Dahe Zui. Artifacts unearthed include Han dynasty bricks, pottery fragments, rubble, residential foundations, courtyards, drainage ditches, and earthen city walls. There are also pottery jars inscribed with “Liuzhou City Wang Yuanwai,” thousand-year-old preserved wooden artifacts, and more. Ancient wells have been discovered. Based on the cultural remains, it has been confirmed that the historical records referring to “Liuzhou City” as an ancient city from the Han dynasty are indeed accurate. The ruins of Liuzhou City provide valuable material for the study of ancient cities in Pingchang during the Han dynasty.
