Wuxiang Yuzhen Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Shanxi Province. The temple’s original construction date is unclear. Based on inscriptions on a now-lost stele, it underwent renovation in the 16th year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1677). It was originally designed as a single-courtyard layout but has since been transformed into a two-courtyard structure. The entire temple faces south, measuring 22.3 meters from east to west and 48.2 meters from north to south, covering a total area of 959.5 square meters. In the first courtyard, the central axis currently features a mountain gate and the main hall, both remnants from the Qing Dynasty. The side rooms to the east and west of the main hall, as well as the two-story structures flanking the mountain gate, are reconstructions. The second courtyard is a newly built addition, consisting of a rear hall and east and west wing rooms. The rear hall is a two-story building with a single-eave flush gable roof, while the east and west wing rooms feature a single-eave roll-roofed gable design. All buildings in the second courtyard are constructed with a brick-concrete structure and stone bases.

The main hall is three bays wide, built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring a single-eave hanging gable roof adorned with glazed tiles. It stands on a brick foundation, and the column-top bracket sets are remnants of simplified bracketing. Due to damage from multiple renovations, the internal wooden structure is no longer intact. Chengguan Village: General Overview

Chengguan Village in Fengzhou Town is located in the urban-rural fringe of Wuxiang County. The village consists of 587 households, with a population of 2,084. It has 1,485 mu of arable land and currently operates 3 village-run enterprises along with 83 individually-owned private businesses.

Chengguan Village has been honored as a “Red Flag Unit” and an “Advanced Collective” by the county Party committee and government for 16 consecutive years.

It has also been recognized three times in a row by the municipal government of Changzhi City as a municipal-level “Civilized Village,” once as an “Advanced Grassroots Party Organization,” and once as one of the “Top 100 Village Committees” since the year 2000.
