The Yuan Dingzi Mountain Range features a sandstone geological structure. Sandstone is a type of sedimentary rock formed through the weathering, erosion, transportation, deposition, and cementation of source rocks. Its main components are quartz or feldspar, along with small amounts of substances such as iron ore. Over time, prolonged rainwater erosion has caused minerals in the rock to remain on the walls of rock cavities, forming a variety of patterned designs, hence the name "Flower Rock Shell." The Flower Rock Shell geological landscape is unique, with beautiful natural scenery. From a distance, layered mountains stand like screens surrounded by misty clouds; up close, the pastoral scenery is poetic and picturesque, with distinctive farmhouses adding to the charm.
