Yazhou Ancient Yue Cultural Tourism Area, a national AAA-level scenic spot, is located in Jiyang Town, Sanya City, at the fork of the East Expressway heading toward Wuzhishan City, offering convenient transportation. "Yazhou" is the ancient name for Sanya City, and "Yue" refers to the collective term for ethnic minorities in southern China.

Yazhou Ancient Yue covers an area of 138 acres, and the scenic area is embraced by mountains, shaded by lush green trees, graced with swaying coconut palms, accompanied by murmuring streams, and boasts picturesque scenery. Since ancient times, it has been a settlement for the Li and Miao ethnic groups. Following the planning of the Sanya Municipal Government and undergoing a strict upgrade in accordance with national AAA-level scenic area standards, it has become a renowned and uniquely characteristic destination showcasing the indigenous Li and Miao culture of Hainan. It has also been designated as a Rural Culture Research Center by the Hainan Provincial Local Culture Research Association.
