The arrival of SuperStar Aquarius in Hainan marks new routes to Sanya and Vietnam

Star Cruises, a subsidiary of Genting Hong Kong, held a grand welcoming ceremony at Phoenix Island Cruise Terminal in Sanya, China on November 4th, celebrating the historic arrival of the cruise ship “SuperStar Aquarius” in Sanya, Hainan. Starting from November, the “SuperStar Aquarius” will use Sanya as its home port and officially launch new routes from Sanya to Vietnam.

The “SuperStar Aquarius” arrived in Sanya on the evening of the 4th, becoming the first international cruise ship to use Hainan as its home port. To meet the needs of diverse international travelers, the “SuperStar Aquarius” will sail across the South China Sea during a five-month seasonal deployment, visiting a variety of unique tourist destinations. Departing from the beach resort paradise of Sanya, the itinerary includes stops at Da Nang in Vietnam, Ha Long Bay known for its karst landscape wonders, and Hue, famed for its historical sites, with options for two-night and three-night cruises.

To complement the new Sanya route, Star Cruises has made special adjustments to its dining and entertainment offerings to cater to the tastes and preferences of Chinese travelers. The company has also invested in renovating both the interior and exterior of the “SuperStar Aquarius,” including upgrading the navigation system, restaurants, the children’s center, and the game center. Additions include a wine and cigar bar, as well as a 360-degree mini 18-hole putting green on the top deck.
