East and West Hawksbill Islands

The East and West Hawksbill Islands are located in the waters near the southwestern coast of Sanya City. There are two small islands standing opposite each other from east to west. The area around the islands is rich in sea turtles, hence the name "East Hawksbill Island" and "West Hawksbill Island." The East and West Hawksbill Islands cover areas of 1.3 square kilometers and 2.6 square kilometers respectively, and boast stunning scenery. In the early morning, mist rises and the water and sky merge into a hazy blur; when the sun rises over the horizon, the sea surface is tinged with a rosy hue, creating a colorful scene. At noon, sunlight stirs up a faint mist on the sea, making the hazy islets appear and disappear intermittently.
