Sanya River Bird Nature Reserve

The Sanya River Bird Nature Reserve is located along the Sanya River in Sanya City, Hainan Province. It is a bird sanctuary centered around the Sanya River, primarily established to protect the nationally rare bird species found here, especially egrets. The reserve area covers about six kilometers in length along both the eastern and western branches of the Sanya River, within a width ranging from one hundred to three hundred meters. The terrestrial area of the reserve is 930 mu, including 210 mu of mangrove forest and 721 mu of mudflat.
