Hold your lover’s hand and walk toward the azure sea. Lover's Bridge on Wuzhizhou Island was originally an iron cable bridge that served as a naval observation point for the island’s garrison. Walking across the swaying iron cables requires a bit of courage and agility. Some ladies wanted to cross the bridge to the observation post for the experience but were afraid of falling into the sea, so they clung tightly to their friends’ hands and didn’t let go—thus the bridge was nicknamed “Lover's Bridge.” Later, for the safety of visitors, the original iron cable bridge was renovated into the current wooden bridge.

1. From Other Areas in Sanya to Wuzhizhou Pier

Bus: Take bus “No. 28” and get off at “Wuzhizhou Island” stop; or take “No. 23 Express” bus, get off at “Wuzhizhou Island Intersection,” then transfer to a tricycle (fare around 5–10 RMB) to reach Wuzhizhou Island Pier.

Taxi: A one-way trip from downtown to the pier is about 80 RMB; from Yalong Bay to the pier is about 50 RMB; for a round-trip private car (Sanya to Wuzhizhou Island Pier), the fare is approximately 150–200 RMB (it is recommended to take a metered taxi).

2. Ferry from Wuzhizhou Pier to Wuzhizhou Island

Regular Ferry: 8:00–16:00; the last ferry to the island departs at 16:00, and the last ferry back departs at 17:00; boats run every 20 minutes. It can get crowded, and queuing in the morning usually takes about 1 hour. Exact times depend on weather conditions.

Luxury Cruise: VIP channel, no need to queue, boats depart every 15 minutes. Round-trip fare is about 300 RMB, and there is a guide accompanying you throughout the journey.
