Yazhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Park is a classic red tourism destination.

Yazhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Park is a patriotic education base in Hainan Province and Sanya City. It is located within Yazhou Town, approximately 1 kilometer from the Yazhou exit of the West Expressway. The managing authority is the Sanya Civil Affairs Bureau.

The Yazhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Park was invested and constructed by the Sanya Municipal People’s Government on December 6, 2005, and completed on March 28, 2006. It is a comprehensive martyrs' memorial park integrating commemoration, reverence, landscaping, and patriotic education. The park consists of a main gate, enclosing walls, a memorial platform, and memorial pillars, covering an area of 3.5 mu. The memorial platform and pillars are primarily crafted through carving art. The memorial platform is terraced, with eight levels—15.8 meters wide at the bottom and 13.8 meters wide at the top, standing 7.6 meters high. The front half of the memorial platform features book-style double-sided carvings, with the names of 37 martyrs such as Chen Yingcai inscribed on the left, and the "Yazhou Revolutionary Martyrs Monument Inscription" on the right. The back half of the platform stands the memorial pillars, which are 1.2 meters in diameter and 6 meters high, divided into three sections featuring patterns commemorating the martyrs. The overall design is thematically distinct, solemn, and majestic, exuding a strong sense of presence.

The predecessor of the Yazhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Park was the Yazhou Martyrs' Monument, which was built by the Sanya Municipal Government (formerly Yazhou County Government) in August 1967. It covered an area of 60 square meters and consisted mainly of the monument and a simple fence. The monument is square-shaped, 6 meters tall, primarily constructed with reinforced concrete and coated with a layer of cement. The front and back of the monument were inscribed with “Eternal Glory to Revolutionary Martyrs” and “The Noble Spirit of Revolutionary Martyrs Lives On,” respectively. The front of the base featured the names of 33 martyrs including Chen Yingcai, and the monument plaza had a flat water-panel surface. Over time, due to urban development and lack of maintenance, the monument suffered severe damage. Officials and residents repeatedly urged for its relocation and reconstruction. The Sanya Municipal Party Committee and Government highly valued public opinion, convened multiple coordination meetings with relevant departments, and allocated nearly 800,000 yuan to build the Yazhou Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Park.

In the autumn of 1924, students from Yazhou County (now Sanya City) who were studying in Guangzhou—Chen Yingcai, Chen Shixun, Li Maoying, and Mai—joined the Chinese Communist Party in Guangzhou. Chen Yingcai was the first to be assigned by the Party organization to return to Yazhou to carry out revolutionary activities, spreading Marxism and promoting the Three Major Policies of “uniting with Russia, uniting with the Communists, and supporting peasants and workers.” In the autumn of 1925, Chen Shixun, Li Maoying, and Mai were also assigned by the Party to return from Guangzhou to Yazhou. Together with Chen Yingcai, they began preparations to establish the Yazhou branch of the Kuomintang and laid the groundwork for forming a Communist organization. In the spring of 1926, the Yazhou Communist Group was established. By autumn of the same year, the Southeast Branch of the CCP was formed. In January 1928, the Yazhou County Committee of the CCP was established. Under the leadership of the County Committee, the people of Yazhou built revolutionary bases and political power, organized armed forces, and waged over 20 years of arduous struggle against both domestic and foreign enemies.
