Located at the southeastern tip of Sanya Bay, Phoenix Island is a man-made island reclaimed from the sea’s reef foundation. The five grand and futuristic hotel buildings on the island form the most striking seascape. The island is home to ultra-luxury hotels, an international yacht club, and a cruise terminal, earning it the reputation as the “Dubai of the East” and a “vacation paradise at sea.”

Surrounded by sea on all sides, Phoenix Island is connected to Guangming Road of the city’s coastal boulevard via a 394-meter-long and 17-meter-wide cross-sea sightseeing bridge. To its south lies Luhuitou Park, to its southeast the mouth of the Sanya River, and to its north the beautiful 17-kilometer-long Sanya Bay beach. Nestled against mountain views on three sides, the island boasts exceptional mountain-sea-sky scenery and offers ideal conditions for marine entertainment, water sports, and all-season resort vacations.

Phoenix Island features an Olympic Park built to commemorate Sanya, the first mainland city to host the Olympic torch relay. It also houses Southeast Asia’s largest and most vibrant international yacht club, a full-sea-view villa community rivaling New York’s Manhattan Long Island, and a tropical seaside commercial street that gathers the world’s most luxury brands. There is also an ultra-luxury hotel (including the hotel and an international conference center), an international wellness resort center (i.e., five property-style hotels), and the Phoenix Island International Cruise Terminal.
