Also known as Tenghai Fishing Village, Houhai Village is located at the southern end of Haitang Bay and the northern part of Queen’s Bay. It is a simple and beautiful seaside fishing village where the Wuzhizhou Island passenger terminal is also situated. In Houhai Village, you can experience the laid-back atmosphere of a fishing community and the daily life of local fishermen, as well as enjoy a variety of freshly caught seafood.

Houhai Village is located on a small peninsula between Haitang Bay and Queen’s Bay. For many years, it remained relatively unknown and low-profile, but in recent years, with the completion of the Wuzhizhou Island passenger terminal and the growing fame of Haitang Bay and Queen’s Bay, this small fishing village has gradually drawn the attention of travelers.

Backed by mountains and facing the sea, Houhai Village boasts pristine soft beaches, and the nearby waters are home to a relatively intact coral reef system. Here, visitors can freely enjoy the beach or go diving in the sea. It is also an excellent spot to watch the sunrise. The locals make a living by fishing, and it’s common to see hardworking fishermen returning with their “catch of the day.” You can also sample freshly caught seafood on traditional Hainan-style fishing rafts.
