Attraction Introduction

Lovers' Island is situated at the northeastern corner of Wuzhizhou Island and comprises two massive rocks that stand quietly facing each other by the sea. The waters in this area are clear and vibrant blue, and the sound of waves hitting the rocks is both powerful and soothing. The beach is dotted with fragments of coral and seashells, creating a perfect place for a stroll, listening to the waves, or collecting shells. Legend has it that the name "Lovers' Island" originated from an ancient tale commemorating a pair of devoted lovers who were turned into stone by an angry dragon king due to their forbidden romance. As a result, it has become a popular romantic spot for young couples to enjoy.

Best Time to Visit

From September to May each year — autumn and winter — when Sanya enjoys a comfortable climate, making it an ideal destination to escape the cold. Without the summer heat and avoiding the typhoon season, this is the most suitable time to visit.

After arriving on the island, you can walk or take an electric cart to reach the site.
