The Sanya Imperial Edict Museum was invested and built by Sanya Shanhaiyuan Cultural Investment Co., Ltd. It is located within the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, covering a land area of approximately 3 mu, with a construction area of about 2,800 square meters and a total investment of around 430 million yuan.

Designed with imperial architecture as its core theme and enhanced by modern aesthetic concepts, the museum adheres to principles of balance and symmetry, featuring symmetrical shapes and contrasting colors. The overall structure is grand and magnificent, adorned with intricately carved beams and painted rafters, radiating splendor and luxury.

The Sanya Imperial Edict Museum primarily displays imperial edicts, state letters, official commendations, and decrees (collectively referred to as “imperial edicts”) from the Ming and Qing dynasties, along with collections such as imperial examination papers, official documents, calligraphy and paintings, and plaques. There are over 300 imperial edicts and foreign decrees from the Ming and Qing periods alone, supplemented by displays of official documents, examination papers, jade and porcelain artifacts, coins and plaques, as well as folk relics. This makes the Sanya Imperial Edict Museum one of the finest specialized private museums in China, allowing visitors to step back in time and experience the imperial document culture up close.

The Sanya Imperial Edict Museum holds significant value for both appreciation and academic research. Its establishment has successfully opened a window into Hainan’s imperial document culture and has become a major highlight of Sanya's cultural tourism.

Opening Hours: 8:30–17:30, open year-round (the museum may temporarily close for major events or essential maintenance of equipment and facilities, with public notice provided in such cases).
