Sanya Niuche Bay

Niuche Bay is located between Haitang Bay and Yalong Bay, facing Wuzhizhou Island across the sea. Originally a military base, it is a crescent-shaped bay that resembles a smaller version of Yalong Bay. The area boasts snow-white, fine sandy beaches; the water is crystal clear with abundant coral species and a rich variety of tropical fish.

It is backed by the rolling Nanling primeval tropical rainforest, which features dense forests and a rich diversity of vegetation. The sides of the bay are rugged with jagged rocks and steep reefs. Weathered military barracks are hidden among wild pineapple trees, coconut palms, and flame trees, while the surrounding forest still preserves well-preserved military facilities such as air-raid shelters, watchtowers, bunkers, and signal towers.

Transportation

Take bus routes 23 or 28 to Wuzhizhou Island Parking Lot – Houhai Wharf, then take a speedboat for about 10 minutes to reach Niuche Bay.
