Yazhou Central Fishing Port was relocated from the well-known Sanya Fishing Port. For locals in Sanya, this small fishing port has witnessed the dramatic transformation of the city from a small fishing village on the South China Sea to a coastal tourist destination, and it also carries many fishermen’s life memories. In the past, the old, dirty, crowded Sanya Fishing Port was bustling with activity, but now it has been replaced by this brand-new Yazhou Central Fishing Port. Here, you can not only enjoy the spectacular sight of sparkling blue waters and an abundance of fishing boats, witness the joyful expressions of fishermen returning with bountiful catches, but more appealingly, you can buy the freshest and cheapest seafood in all of Sanya.

Walk straight through the hall to the seaside fishing port, and you’ll see rows of small stalls lining the road, offering a wide variety of seafood, all caught by fishermen that very day. The overall prices are also much lower than those in downtown Sanya. There’s also an ice-making facility near the entrance, so both out-of-town visitors and locals drive here early in the morning to pick out their seafood.

1. Some stalls in the fishing port open as early as the wee hours, so it is recommended to come in the morning.

2. This place mainly sells seafood, with almost no seafood processing restaurants available.
