Dongluo Island

This small island is an isolated paradise located in the southwestern sea off Sanya, approximately 50 nautical miles from the city. It features a lighthouse and has geographical coordinates of 8°19'18" N, 108°57'6" E. It lies across the sea from Donglang Island, with the two islands being 3–4 nautical miles apart.

Dongluo Island is known by tourists as the only untouched island in Sanya. It has only a lighthouse and no residential buildings. On this undeveloped island, visitors can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and its tropical natural landscape is considered a prime example of Hainan Province’s tropical rainforests.

The steep cliffs on the island are covered with lush tropical rainforests, and naturally formed caves hold an air of mystery. Due to its distance from urban areas, it remains largely unpolluted. The nearby sea is crystal clear, home to abundant beautiful coral and a variety of colorful tropical fish swimming among the coral reefs. Visitors can hike up the mountain to explore the secrets of the tropical island jungle at Dongluo Island’s highest point, gaze out over the sea, and take in the stunning beauty of the ocean meeting the sky. Alternatively, they can dive into the sea to observe living coral and vibrant tropical fish, immersing themselves in a dreamlike fairy-tale world.
